I try to keep this blog upbeat, but I might start allowing myself one wintry rant per season. I’m tired of having to thaw out my painfully near-frozen feet for one thing. The snow was something to play in when I was a child. It was fun.
As an adult homeowner, the snow is something that I have to use a good amount of physical effort to move aside. Those of you who have garages that make it possible for you to get your car out of the driveway without unburying it first . . . so lucky!
I decided to see what Krape Park looks like in winter when I was out one day. It was actively snowing and there were a few other cars in the park. The cold did not deter the ducks or several deer that I saw gathered together to stay warm, I presume.
If you’re just completely over having to deal with winter, leave your rant about it on here on Stephenson County Spotlight.
Remember to follow SCS and let others know about it offline too. Next month will be this blog’s one-year anniversary, let’s celebrate by letting more people know about it.
If you have upbeat news or information to share with the public, contact me at RitaHawk17@comcast.net and I’ll consider writing it up and promoting it for you.
