I went downtown this morning and took photos along a few of the streets. I also spoke with three small business owners: Jeffrey Wall (Wall of Yarn), Denise Casper (Queen Bee’s) and Brian Nissen (Abet Books & Games).
I’m glad the word is getting out about the blog and that business owners are so willing to help with letting others know about Stephenson County Spotlight. It feels good to write about positive things.
There really is a lot going on in Freeport, IL. I already have a few May events that I’ll be posting on the blog, so keep an eye out for those. I’ll be making my way to the village of Lena, IL and writing about what I see and experience there in May.
Late afternoon yesterday I photographed flowering trees. There were beautiful ones at Krape Park which I’ll have to take shots of when the light is right.
I entered Krape Park from the back yesterday. Be careful if you go that way because several deer were grazing nearby. I put the car in park hoping to get photos before they crossed the road into the area where they’d blend in with the background. The deer crossed the road in front and behind my car. A young one crossed by itself. It actually checked to see if traffic was coming before it did so!
I love to write and I would also like to help others who need help with business, academic, or personal writing projects. Non-fiction or fiction. In addition to copyediting & proofreading, I can help with content and concept development.
Send me a message at the address on my blog, RitaHawk17@comcast.net if you’d like to hire me to help with a writing project.
Thanks to starting this blog, my computer and marketing skills have had to be taken to a new level. I might be able to help those who are baffled when it comes to how to navigate various Internet sites and applications. I love to learn and if I can teach others how to do something, that’s even better.
